We want you to get the most out of the time that you spend with your provider. In order to do that, our providers spend hours preparing for appointments so that you have the best treatment plan possible.
By getting your labs completed 3 weeks prior to your appointment, your provider will have adequate time to fully prepare.
We offer Quest blood draws in our office on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. To make an appointment, please send us a message through your patient portal to Care Team, LAS using the Message tab on the left OR you may text us at 972-589-1677. If you prefer using Labcorp, please get your labs drawn at a Labcorp Lab most convenient to you.
Your lab results are located in the "Document" section of your patient portal. These results will be made available to you the day prior to your appointment. We ask that any questions related to your lab results be asked during your appointment time.
Your lab requisition is in the Document Section of your patient portal. You will need to look at the title of the Document, not the date the lab requisition was created.
If you are rechecking a few levels in between appointments, there will be a “recheck” in the title.
If you are retrieving your lab order for an appointment, the title will indicate the week you are to have your labs drawn.
Insurance does not cover Bio-Identical Hormone Therapy. But you can usually use insurance for your lab work, and we encourage you to check with your insurance company to see if they will cover your labs.
We suggest that prior to having your blood drawn, share your lab requisition with your insurance company to find out how much they will cover. We have negotiated a discounted lab rate with the lab companies.
For the Annual panel, if your insurance company charges you more than $600, contact us immediately and we will make arrangements for you to pay us for your lab work. If your insurance company charges you more than $300 for a follow-up panel, call us to find out how much it would cost to pay us for labs. The decision to use insurance or to pay us our discounted lab rate for lab work needs to be made PRIOR to having your blood drawn. Once the blood is drawn we are not able to reverse any fees.
